Shirakawa is also an eminent heavy snowfall area in Japan, so people live at a house with a rafter roof while enduring heavy snowfall for a long time. A house with a rafter roof was built from Edo middle term to Showa beginnings. It's said to be 300 years before at an old building. Shirakawa-go was registered with the world's cultural and natural heritage in 1995. You can stay in a house with a rafter roof. The scenery of the four seasons is beautiful and the states doing spray practice at a village in Shirakawa-go are highlights.
