Oarai Isosaki Shrine

Oarai isosaki shrine is located in Oarai-machi, Higashi Ibaraki-gun, Ibaraki prefecture, the venerable shrine whose name comes out from the Heian era. It was supposed to be founded right after the Taika renewal in 645. It is said that Otori Issoe Shrine has a torii at the cape of the island, and Okuninushi who is a god who appears in Kojiki and Nihon Shoki has come down here. Okuninushi is a strong God who can obtain numerous interests. Huge harvest (of the five grains), cure of the illness, match-making, bless with children, good fortune, success in business etc. are given much benefit. Torii that faces the large ocean which spreads before this eye is attracted to the viewer with a majestic landscape.
