Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gu Shrine
Tsuruoka Hachimangu Shrine is a shrine that was deeply involved in Kamakura's first generation general, Yoritomo, and was once considered the samurai guardian deity. In recent years, it is famous as a power spot that share in the good luck of Mnamoto Yoritomo. A shooter wearing a hunting clothes of Kamakura Samurai will perform a brave ceremony (Yabusame ceremony) that rushes through three targets while running with a horse. It is said that a good harvest・requests will come true if arrows hit the target. It is a festival that inherits the tradition of 800 years. Hydrangea is about to be seen from the middle of June to the middle of July, and autumn leaves are about to be seen from late November to early December. There are 177 cherry blossoms along the street, and it is a popular cherry blossom spot that is chosen as 100 cherry blossoms in Japan.
