Fuji was recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site in 2013. Mt. Fuji is a target of belief and is a source of art creation. The outdoor of the surrounding hike and mountaineering while looking at Mt. Fuji is also popular. About 300,000 people climb Mt. Fuji during summer. There are five lakes near Mt. Fuji and they are called “Fuji-Goko” and in others there are many hot springs at the base of Mt. Fuji.
