Meiji-jingu is a shrine which deifies Emperor Meiji and Empress Akinori (Emperor Meiji's wife). These vast rich green woods in a city have a peculiar ecosystem which has continued being protected as long as 100 years. In these woods, there are an animal, an insect, etc. which are no longer seen now in Tokyo. There is big torii in Meiji-jingu and it is the No.1 size of Japan as wooden Myojin torii. There are many sake barrels and wine barrels which were dedicated in a shrine, and since Emperor Meiji was a remarkable wine lover, the wine barrel is dedicated.
