Tomogashima Island

Tomogashima is an uninhabited island where you can enjoy ruins. I can go to the island by sightseeing by ferry. This island was used by the former Japanese army as one of the fortresses to defend Osaka bay from the Meiji Period to the end of the war. There are six rupture trails and military facilities in the island, it reminds me of the aspect of those days. Most of the sidewalk within the island is a former military road, it is possible to go around the island with a tasteful road that is not yet paved. The red brick atmosphere is quite similar to the world view of the animated film "Laputa".
